Katsucon 2013: pre-convention cosplay

So, I went to pick up my badge for Katsucon 2013 Thursday night, and managed to catch a few cosplayers wandering the hotel/convention center. I put most of the pictures on a photography page, but I thought I’d share a few in a post.

There were, as always, cute girls,

more cute girls,

and still more cute girls,

but this guy caused a lot of buzz (sorry) Thursday night, with his over 8 foot tall costume of “Bumblebee”, from the “Transformers” movies. He went to a tremendous effort, building up the arms and legs, with articulation of the hands, lights and a laser pointer (working), and even a loudspeaker for that “mechanical voice” effect. Needless to say, he was the center of attention wherever he went!
