Cats and fire (taking a break before the next rant)…

I’ve never seen a cat deal with fire before, so this may be natural. I suspect not, though. The owner’s comment states that this cat likes the taste of its own singed fur, but I’m not convinced. It does seem to be licking its paws a lot, but then I’d be doing that too if my hand got too hot trying to handle an open flame. At any rate, the cat looks like it’s fascinated by the flame itself, almost like it’s analyzing it.

“Some day, I’ll learn the Big Ones’ secret about you, then they’d better watch out!”

Bad Lip Reading: Mitt Romney – Stuff the Ice Chest

This is hilarious, there’s a group of people “lipreading” political and other videos, and re-dubbing them with random silly words that actually fit the lip movements! Here’s one they did from a Mitt Romney campaign video, and one they made into a music video of one of Barack Obama’s videos.

Crowd helps autistic man sing the National Anthem

This is an autistic man who’s been chosen to sing the National Anthem at a ball game in Fenway Park, for “Disability Awareness Day,” but partway through he messes up the lyrics. He’s completely flustered, but the crowd in the stadium comes to his rescue by singing the right words along with him. To hear all the people filling the stadium with the Anthem, and to see the man’s reaction, this is why I can’t give up on America. As long as we have people like this crowd, we won’t fail.
